After years of leading large teams in the corporate world, Udine found herself standing at a crossroads. Like many of us, she hit a midlife moment where success no longer felt like purpose. Every morning, she’d clear her head jogging along the Strand promenade, breathing in the salt air, wondering what was next.

That’s when the idea struck! A second-hand bookstore! (Insanity Right?) A place filled with stories, not deadlines. A place where people could wander, discover, and reconnect.

The first Sunset Books opened quietly on a little back street, just one road from the beach. But word spread – and so did the books and the aroma of great coffee. Today, Sunset Books proudly stands on Beach Road, right in the heart of the Strand, where the sea breeze still drifts in and the stories never stop.

For Udine, this isn’t just a shop, it’s a new chapter where she creates meaningful space for people to unwind, connect or enjoy a cultural event or workshop.
